When evaluating their 2007 activities, AI Mongolia came to see that their creative and visible campaign activities were increased compared with previous years. This was largely resultant from their integration of New Tactics concepts into their work. Their training was updated to include the New Tactics manual and tenchniques--for example, trainees use the Mapping Tool for their selected campaign. In addition, they have made their efforts available to others through posting their translations of New Tactics materials on their website.

One example of their application of New Tactics' concepts: a number of Mongolian NGOs have been employing hunger strikes as a tactic to effect change in their strategic situation; this was the tactic preferred by a coalition of NGOs for the disabled as well as the Mongolian National Federation of the Blind. AI Mongolia contacted these organizations and encouraged them to use other, more effective tactics--ones they had developed through working with New Tactics--and to read New Tactics materials instead of implementing a hunger strike.

The Mongolian Federation of the Blind--an oganization which attended training led by AI-Mongolia, took this to heart in a recent demonstration. In this demonstration they formed a human chain by linking individuals together, surrounding the main government building, as a way to voice their opinion over an important piece of pending legislation. This tactic garnered a significant anount of media attention as well as grassroots support from fellow Mongolians.
